I have some bad news for you.

A court hearing has taken place and you have been found guilty as charged.

John 3:18 “..he that believeth not is condemned..”

Yet, not only have you been found guilty, but the entire human race has also been charged by the law of God. The sentence has also already been declared. You have been found guilty.

Romans 3:19 “ Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.”

Right now, whether you believe it or not, the death sentence has been placed upon you as a result of your crime. This is true, and it is sad news indeed. It is only a matter of time before your sentence is carried out. You, along with every single person on this earth, will have to carry out your sentence for being found guilty of the crime against the God of Heaven. That sentence is the death penalty.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Before you deny that this is true, let me ask you a question. Do people die? Do you know of any person that is not right now aging; and someday, will have to go through the sad experience of death? God’s law book states emphatically that all must die. Unless you have another option, you too will die and will be placed in some cold, dark, grave as a reminder of the fact that you are under the penalty of death placed upon the human race by our Creator for breaking His perfect law.

1Corinthians 15:22 “For as in Adam all die”

As I said, my friend, the court hearing has already taken place in Heaven and the whole world has been found guilty.

I have some worse news.

The worse news is that your crime is so bad that at the time of your death, you will not only die physically, but your very soul will be cast for eternity in a place called hell. The Bible clearly states that there is a second death, and that this is one’s judgment and destiny because of sin.

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Now, I have told you the terrible news that you have been found guilty in the court of Heaven. Your penalty for having broken God’s law is both physical and spiritual death. This includes being thrown into a lake of fire forever.

Now for the good news:

God has made a way for you to receive a pardon before you die and have to give an account to God for your life and actions. This pardon is not earned by good behavior or trying to live the best one can live.

Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us”

This pardon is not received by church attendance, baptism, or some kind of religious ritual. This pardon is only available because someone was willing to take your guilt and sentence of death in your behalf. This person went to the execution chamber and was innocent of the crimes that you have committed. He voluntarily chose to die in your place because He was the only person who could do it. And who is this person? This person is the very Judge that placed the sentence of death upon you in the first place. It was God Himself. God, the Son, came to this earth over 2,000 years ago and took our punishment upon Himself when he died on the cross and shed His blood for crimes that we have done. Though innocent of ever breaking the law, Christ chose to die for the guilty human race. This is so that guilty people can be declared not guilty by the same God that declared them guilty.

“II Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

It is because our Judge, Jesus Christ, was willing to pay for our sentence in full with His own blood.

Hebrews 9:22 “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission”

The Best News is…

that this pardon is available now. It is free for the asking and it works for all eternity.

Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”

Simply believe the Gospel. Jesus Christ,God’s own Son, died in your place on across to pay the awful payment for your sin. Believe that He arose from the grave, and trust Him as your personal Savior. Then you can know the pardon that He alone provides.

1Corinthians 15:1 “ Moreover, brethren, I declare untoyou the gospel …. how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures”

All that are without Christ under the sentence of death will be found guilty as charged. You must realize that if you reject the only One who can save you from the death sentence, you will die and be cast into the lake of fire for all eternity. Therefore, you need to repent and believe the Gospel.

Acts 17:30 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent”

I encourage you to call on Christ, your Judge, and ask him to grant you His pardon so you can be saved from this terrible day. Believe in His Word alone, and He will give it to you. Then your Judge, Jesus Christ, will become your personal Savior.

Romans 5:9 “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him”

The question is, my friend, are you going to escape your due sentence of death and hell by trusting Christ as your only Savior? As I said, you have already been found guilty. It is only time that is keeping you from your fate for all eternity.

Hebrews 4:7 …he limiteth a certain day, saying … To day… if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

So, turn from your sin today. He is waiting to grant you that pardon. Pray and ask him to give it to you. Place your faith in Christ now! He is your only substitute. Trust His death, burial, and resurrection so that you can escape the verdict of guilty as charged, and through Christ be declared righteous by His blood that he shed for your sin.
