Israel, Wake Up! Prophecy Being Fulfilled in Israel

There is something God wants you to know. The Dead Sea scrolls that contain the Hebrew Scriptures have a hidden ancient message for you. On display in Jerusalem at the Shrine of the Book is the Dead Sea scroll of Isaiah. God wants you to know some things in this scroll. It talks about the nation of Israel being in a state of spiritual slumber, and it talks about the time Israel wakes up.

Read it for yourself as found in the Shrine of the Book. Isaiah 29:10 says, “The Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep…” This deep sleep speaks of Israel spiritually being asleep to some very important things that I want to tell you in this pamphlet. Isaiah then talks about the time when Israel awakens, when “the eyes of the blind shall see.” This special time frame, in which Israel goes from sleeping and slumbering spiritually to waking up and regarding what the scriptures are saying, is also recorded.

The time for Israel to awaken to God’s message is when a particular location in Israel becomes very fruitful, and is as famous as the great forest of Lebanon once was almost 3000 years ago when Solomon built the great Jewish Temple from its special timbers.

This place that I am referring to is the valley of Lebanon below Mount Hermon. I am not referring to a place in the country of Lebanon, but what was once called “the valley of Lebanon below Hermon.” See Joshua 11:17. This is the upper part of the region of Israel south of Mount Hermon and north of Lake Hula. In Isaiah’s day this was called the valley of Lebanon. Today it is the upper part of the Jordan valley below Tel Dan to the Hula Lake.

Notice that the timing of Israel’s spiritual awakening coincides with this region of Israel becoming fruitful and famous. See the great prophecy in Isaiah 29:17-18, “Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon [today’s Hula Valley] shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the

fruitful field shall be esteemed [becomes famous] as a forest? [the ancient forest of Lebanon] And in that day shall the deaf [people who have not been listening to the Bible] hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.” Verse 24 says, “They that erred [non religious Jews] in spirit shall come to understanding.”

Today it is amazing how the Hula Valley has been made so beautiful and so fruitful. The wilderness has been made to blossom again. This Biblical valley of Lebanon is both fruitful and famous and is as glorious as the ancient cedar trees of Lebanon once were. The Hula Valley is not only a very fruitful region of Israel, but also is a major flyway for as many as 500 species of birds, making it one of the world’s premier areas for bird watching. This place has become world famous, just as Isaiah prophesied.

So, we see from this Scripture, just as Isaiah prophesied, the people of Israel are awakening to see some very important things in this great book of the Bible. In the 53rd chapter of this same book of Isaiah we find another very important truth to see with both eyes open.
